Magical wee stories from the Isle of Bute

Magical Stories

from the Isle of Bute

7
Hi! I’m Susan:) I moved to the Isle of Bute in 2017, having visited often with my girls ...back when they were still just wee potatoes.

Bute has always felt quite magical to me. Now, as a granny to two wonderful grandchildren, I wanted to share some of that magic by creating stories to tie in with our island adventures!

I hope these books will spark a little curiosity in young readers - and maybe even inspire them to search for a Bubble Buckie at Kilchattan Bay, or explore Moss Wood for a moochy mole! You never know what you might find ...

If you'd like to know when the first book launches, please sign up to my mailing list below.
Och, goan then!

A little message for nature lovers!

Bubble Buckie Eco Page
Each book has a special corner at the back dedicated to the natural environments the characters explore.

If bedtime allows, they can learn how to protect the sea life they’ve just read about, discover which animals they might see in the woods, or enjoy nature with some gentle mindfulness practice...

...or f you can't wait to get the little darlings to sleep, you can also stop at 'The End' 😀

Bringing the stories to life ...

I create my own illustrations, and you can see some examples of them (speeded up!) below. You can find out more about the process on my illustrations page.
